MAYSA has 5 of our players competing on Classic teams in western PA for the 2011/2012 season. We are proud of our players, coaches and referees who go out in to the greater soccer community and represent with excellence.
The players are:
Matthew Juergens, Stars United U15 boys
Nathan Kroll, Stars United U15 boys
Zachary Kroll, Stars United U15 boys
Bethany Juergens, Stars United U13 girls
Iana Ellis, Stars United U12 girls
We also have MAYSA alumni currently playing in college: Brittnay Gadd 91/92- University of Cumberland, Kentucky Claire Creasy 91/92- Huntington University, Indiana Alyssa Kennell 91/92- Mercyhurst North East, Pennsylvania Zachary Juergens 91/92- Grove City College, Pennsylvania Nicole Bertolasio 92/93- Mercyhurst North East, Pennsylvania Cody Fowler 92/93 - Mercyhurst North East, Pennsylvania

MAYSA had 8 of our players competing on Classic teams in Western PA for the Spring 10 season. This is amazing given the relative size of our club with others in PA West. These players must try out and make the teams, competing for spots against players from the greater Pittsburgh area. Congratulations to them all and we are proud of your representing MAYSA in the greater soccer community.

Four MAYSA athletes recently participated in the Pennsylvania West State Cup U13 Classic Tournament in 2010. Their team, Stars United out of Cranberry Twp., PA went on to win the title and will represent Western PA in the regional tournament in Huntington, West Virginia. They will be competing against teams from the Northeast portion of the United States.

Two MAYSA athletes recently participated in the Western Pennsylvania State Cup U18 Classic Tournament in 2010. Their team, Stars United out of Cranberry Twp., PA went on to finish as the runner-up for the second year in a row, where they lost in the final against the Beadling U18 team.

Claire Creasy from Mercer was a starter on the Stars United U-17 Girls team in 2009. The team participated in the State Cup and also qualified for Regionals in the Presidents Cup. "The team is coached by Ryan Hoffman (not pictured)"

Joe Lang (pictured bottom row second from the right) participated in the Pennsylvania West State Cup U15 Classic Tournament in 2009. His team, Shenango Valley United out of Mercer County, PA, earned a semi-final appearance where they lost a hard fought match to the eventual champions.
