MAYSA's In-House Recreational/Instructional Program includes both our fall In-House program (K-6th grade) and summer In-House Pickup program (K-2nd grade). Our In-House programs are focused on helping kids enjoy the game of soccer while teaching them the fundamentals that they will need regardless of whether they want to be a top level competitive player or just a lifelong fan.
The In-House Soccer Program is where the basics of soccer are encouraged in a fun environment. Teams are formed for three different age/skill groups within the club. Every child participating is given equal playing time during the games and coaches plan practices so every child can learn and improve regardless of their current ability. The goal of recreational soccer is to unlock the game within each child. This will only happen by having fun!
Also, players/youth under the age of 14 participating in the any of the Club's soccer programs (In-House or Travel) can gain experience refereeing by becoming an In-House referee and overseeing In-House matches. This is a great way to gain further experience and knowledge of the game, experience a leadership opportunity at a young age and be a stepping stone toward MAYSA's Youth Referee Program.
All fall In-House practices take place on Thursday evenings and all matches take place at our home fields located at Cool Spring Fitness on Saturday mornings.
Coaching help is always needed and appreciated. No experience needed, we will train you. There are plenty of opportunities to learn everything you'll need to know including an our Parent-Coach preseason clinic (August), MAYSA's Parent-Coach online resources, PA West Soccer's Online courses and Field Training and more.
More questions? See our FAQs, Registration Schedule and Directions below.
In-House practices and game days are a family-friendly setting. While at the fields alcoholic beverages and smoking are not permitted. Also, we ask that all cheering keep with the spirit of instructional/recreational youth sports, that is, an encouraging and fun environment for the children. Thank you.
We conduct a Winter Pickup Program for players in grades 3-6. The Winter Program is intended for players seriously considering Spring Travel Soccer (our only spring option). Contact us to learn more.
