Dr. Suzanne Maslo and Gary Proie annually head up a team of medical professionals and volunteers, from western PA, who travel to remote areas of the world providing humanitarian dental services.  This year her team traveled to 6 villages in Ghana and provided medical and dental procedures to 883 children.

MAYSA reaches Ghana

Dr. Maslo likes to give the kids a small gift and the number one requested item is a soccer ball.
Last year the group traveled to remote parts of Inner Mongolia in Northern China.
A couple years ago Dr. Maslo asked MAYSA that she would like to take any older soccer balls no longer being used by MAYSA and give them to the children of the orphanages she visits.

Part of providing a soccer experience for our community's youth includes inspecting, repairing, replacing and upgrading our equipment on a regular basis.  As part of MAYSA's ongoing equipment replacement and upgrade practices the organization has replaced parts for our field paint machine, ball bags, 100+ soccer balls, kickback nets, goal (weight bags), additional Pop Up Goals (PUGs) and more.

Most of the soccer balls we replace each year are ready for the trash, however, some balls have some life left in them.  We were happy to be able to help Dr. Maslo and her team in some small way.
